Course Overview:
Transit technology by FBSciences, is a product made from natural organic matter that exhibits a beneficial biostimulatory effect on crops. This course breaks down soil organic matter, defining humic acids, fulvic acid, and natural organic matter and explores the chemistry of each. Then it focuses on the benefits of Transit technology as a biostimulant, dives into how the technology works, and then highlights how Transit performs in the field.
Upon successfully completing this course, you will be able to share with your customers:
- What Transit technology is, where it comes from and the benefits of the technology.
- The difference between a humic acid and a fulvic acid.
- Factors that can affect the formation of humic acids.
- The physical, chemical, and biological benefits of humic acids.
- What natural organic matter is and its key benefits.
- The chemistry of natural organic matter and what gives Transit its biological activity.
- Transit Technology’s effect on nutrient use efficiency, abiotic stresses and stomatal conductance.
- Transit technology effect on yield.

Course Instructor
Tim Eyrich, Vice President of Agronomy, FBSciences
Tim attended the University of Arizona and received his degree in Agronomy and Plant Physiology. For the last 37 year he has been involved in most aspects of agriculture from production to research and development.
Tim started his professional career doing market development for BASF, primarily looking at Poast grass herbicide and Pix a cotton plant growth regulator. In 1985 he started a full-service crop consulting service in West Tennessee, primarily focused on cotton, but with a few acres of rice, corn, and peanuts.
His interest in plant nutrition and crop physiology, put him on a path that involved leading global efforts around; plant nutrition, bio stimulants, biologicals and irrigation. These activities lead to the following
• Understanding and Optimizing germination and stand establishment.
• Built the NutriSolutions tissue sampling program
• Educated agronomist and growers around understanding the plants nutritional needs based on growth stages and demand periods.
• Developed an “objective focused” product development and commercialization program trial plot process.
• Created a Stage Gate development process to move product ideas from “thought” to “revenue”
• Hired, mentored, and matured young agronomist and researchers in the crop nutrition sector.
In the last 5 years Tim has been involved a very innovative and cutting age development project around Citrus Greening, in this position he was deeply involved in the Federal and International regulatory process around bioengineering and “first of kind” biological delivery systems, trial design and Proof of Concept, and foundational commercialization of a “first of kind” product.
Tim strongly believes that to advance knowledge, leadership, and success in crop production one must always be a “student of the game”
Tim has been married for 43 years to Kathy, they have 4 children and 11 grandchildren. They enjoy fishing the Gulf of Mexico waters and spending time with their family.
